Who is responsible
Drivers Panamá (driverspanama.com) is responsible for the details you leave on a driver's page, when you get a restaurant coupon and when you request a ride on the website, under Panama's Law 81 of 2019. You can write to us at hola@driverspanama.com.
Driver offers: what we keep
On the form on the driver's card we keep your name, your email and your permission to receive their offers by email, with the date and the text you accepted. We don't ask for your WhatsApp: the driver only has your number if you decide to message them. For reviews we keep your stars, your comment, and your name and country if you write them; your email is stored encrypted only to avoid repeated reviews.
Driver offers: what for
To email you your code and so the driver you scanned can tell you about their offers. What you leave on the driver's form is only for that driver: your details belong only to that driver, and we don't sell them or share them with other drivers or third parties. To stop the driver's offers, write to us at hola@driverspanama.com.
Restaurant coupons
Restaurant coupons are given by Drivers Panamá. To give you one we keep your name, your email (typed by you, or the one Google gives us if you continue with Google), your language, your approximate country, the restaurant, the driver whose page you used and, if the restaurant needs a booking, the day, time and number of people. We use them to give you the coupon, email it to you, update you about your booking and pay the driver's share. When you use it, the restaurant only sees your name and your coupon and booking details; it doesn't see your email.
Rides requested on the website
When you request a ride on driverspanama.com we keep your name, your WhatsApp, your email if you write it, your language, the service, the date and time, the pickup place, the destination, your flight if you write it, how many people and bags are going, your notes and your booking payment. We use them to give you the price, charge the booking fee and arrange your ride. We share them with the driver assigned to your ride, only so they can pick you up and message you about that ride.
Offers from Drivers Panamá
You only get offers from Drivers Panamá if you ticked the box when getting your coupon; you get the coupon either way. We keep the date and the text you accepted. Every email has a link to unsubscribe at any time. We don't sell your email or give it to restaurants or drivers.
If you're a driver or a restaurant
If you sign up as a driver or a restaurant we keep your contact details, your encrypted password (nobody can read it), your photos, your payments and the receipts you upload. We use them for your account, your charges, your payouts and your receipts. If you're a driver, your photo, name, languages, reviews, car and tours are shown on your card and in the driver directory on driverspanama.com.
Driver's license (drivers)
To give you the “Verified driver” badge we ask for a photo of your driver's license. It is private: it is not shown on your card or in the directory, only the Drivers Panamá team sees it to confirm it's you, and it is not shared with tourists, restaurants or other drivers. You can ask us to delete it at any time, and we delete it once we finish verifying you or if your application is not accepted.
Who else processes them
The site and its data live on Cloudflare and emails are sent through Resend, two US companies that only process them on our behalf. So that nothing inappropriate gets published, the photos you upload (your photo, your car, your license, your payment receipts and your tour photos) are checked by an artificial intelligence from Anthropic, another US company, which only looks at the image to say whether it is appropriate and does not keep it to train its models. If you continue with Google, Google confirms your name and email to us. We don't sell data to anyone.
How long we keep them
While you use the service and up to 2 years after your last activity; then we delete them. Payments and receipts are kept for as long as the law requires.
What we don't keep
We don't store your IP address or use tracking cookies. The approximate country comes from the network.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details by writing to the driver or to Drivers Panamá at hola@driverspanama.com. We reply within 10 business days.
